Best way to deal with Anxiety

Best way to deal with Anxiety

Fear, dread, and a general sense of unease are all symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety disorders are the most common type of mental disorders, affecting nearly 30 percent of adults at some point in their lives. Anxiety has been linked to several additional health issues as well as habits that may be detrimental to one’s health. People who suffer from anxiety are more likely to experience symptoms such as insomnia, chronic pain, or digestive issues. People who struggle with anxiety are more likely to engage in risky behaviours such as smoking and vaping, both of which contribute to negative health outcomes.

Anxiety is characterized by feelings of worry, fear, and apprehension, which manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including cognitively, emotionally, and physically. It is possible for people to begin thinking negatively and to experience a sense of being out of control as a result. It is also possible for it to result in somatic sensations such as shaking, sweating, or shortness of breath.

Some of our ancient therapies are very effective in the cases of Anxiety. Like – Breathing exercises, mindfulness, and meditation

Breathing exercises are powerful relaxation techniques that can help ease anxiety, as anxiety is about felling of worry fear etc, breathing exercises helps in both our body and mind while simultaneously bringing our focus into the here and now.

Yoga offers many curative and calming breathing exercises. Sukshm Kriya taught by our Babaji, is very helpful in calming body, mind and soul ( same is available in Shivyog App). We shivyogis are taught by our guruji to remain conscious about our breath. By doing so we remain detached from anxious thoughts.

Meditation is one form of mind-body complementary medicine that is widely practiced today. Meditation has the potential to induce a profound state of relaxation as well as a calm state of mind.

There is evidence that people have been meditating for thousands of years. Originally, the purpose of meditation was to assist in gaining a more profound knowledge of the holy and mysterious forces that are at work in the world. But today it is becoming increasingly popular as a means of de-stressing and unwinding today.

When we meditate, we train our attention to be more focused, and we clear our mind of the random, jumbled thoughts that may be contributing to the stress our feeling and create anxiety.

Shivyog is a science of connecting (union) with Shiva (supreme consciousness). It is about healing body, mind and soul which results in improved physical and mental health. Regular practice of shivyog doesn’t allow random thoughts to enter mins that can manifest anxiety.

Therefore, best way to deal with Anxiety is to practice some form of meditation everyday. I follow shivyog and recommend the same.
