Build Blissful Harmony with self and others to enhance happiness || Yoga of Immortals || Ishan Shivanand
Living in harmony means living together #peacefully. Harmony means alignment with the self, thought, behaviour, family, society and nature. It is a human value that means compatibility in feelings, relationships, interests etc. We must build and maintain complete harmony at the individual as well as society level, to experience bliss and beauty.
Accepting others unconditionally is paramount to be living in complete #harmony and #peace. Accept the differences in others in terms of religion, faith, beliefs, culture, upbringing, opinions, interests, preferences, appearance and thought patterns. Everyone is unique in their own ways. Everybody has a right to think and act according to their wishes. It is absolutely alright to disagree on certain things. Be more tolerant towards the lifestyles of others to make this world a happier place to live in. We must learn to treat everyone with respect and appreciate them for who they are, not what we want or expect them to be. Complain, criticize and expect less. Be more giving. By simply learning to accept others, we grow as a person.
Empathy and Compassion are essential towards building happier homes and society. We must learn to think from others’ perspective by stepping into their shoes and perceiving situations from their perspective. Loving people unconditionally makes us grow and thrive. We build better interpersonal relationships and long-lasting friendships this way.
Forgiveness is extremely important for us to build harmony with ourselves and with others. We must forgive ourselves and others. Letting go and moving on is the mantra for success and prosperity. Holding on to grievances and issues will create negative thought patterns, block our #energy and create hurdles in life at all levels. It will also negatively impact our personality. We must forgive and let go, think about the future and focus on things that are important such as our goals, family, relationships, work and life.
Ancient wisdom is extremely helpful in maintaining peace and harmony at all levels. Our Scriptures are full of wisdom on how to lead an enriched life with values, direction, focus and fulfil all our roles and duties diligently. #Meditation and #Yoga help us align our physical bodies, energy and etheric bodies with the Universe. This makes us more powerful as we realize our true selves, our hidden potential and dormant powers. When we align and focus all our energies in one direction, we become a force extremely powerful to reckon with. #Goal manifestation then becomes smooth and frequent.
Positive socialising is important for maintaining harmony in the society. Participate in communal events of your interest such as dance, arts, paintings, music, celebrations etc. They not only get your creative juices flowing, distract you from your everyday problems but also build communal and social harmony. We learn more about other people, their lifestyles, culture and grow immensely. Connecting with neighbours, volunteering together, celebrating special occasions together and lending a helping hand all improve harmony.
Building harmony with #Nature is beneficial as we are part of Nature and cannot live in isolation from it. Be mindful of your garbage disposal and segregate wet and dry waste separately. Do not litter water bodies, streets and common places and avoid using polyethene. Using bio-degradable packaging material such as cloth, paper, jute bags is helpful and trendy. Feeding stray animals such as cows, dogs, birds etc. is really nice but it should be done #mindfully.
Building your relationships with people is also instrumental in harbouring blissful harmony. Learn to manage your anger, intolerance and aggressiveness. Practice the art of deep #breathing. Spend quality time with family, close friends and loved ones. Be caring, considerate and generous towards your parents, spouse and children. Learn the art of #positive thinking and being solution oriented. Be an active listener and do not rush to speak and impose your thoughts on others. Maintain eye contact with people and be friendly. Harness the power of positive affirmations to set your biology towards positive harmony.
Harmony with oneself is important to bring #peace and #happiness. Spend time with yourself for self-analysis and introspection. Do things that you love and enjoy, such as a hobby or a sport. Take time out for self-care and self- grooming. Maintaining your own sense of harmony is essential for you to experience bliss and contentment. Only then you can radiate and project these outside.
